The viewers of &TV’s Santoshi Maa Sunaye Vrat Kathayein will witness a high voltage drama with the entry of Ratan Rajput as Santoshi as Santoshi Maa’s (Gracy Singh) ansh. With the circumstances taking a dramatic turn, Santoshi (Ratan Rajput), will come down to earth to help Swati (Tanvi Dogra) to get justice and punish those responsible for her situation. She will have two forms, which is of a Devi and that of a Human. The current storyline has the marriage preparations of Indresh (Ashish Kadian) and Dr Nidhi (Dharti Bhatt) going on in full swing. Devi Paulomi (Sara Khan) through her evil measures have managed to bring Indresh and Dr Nidhi close and in matrimony. However, Swati is determined to fight it out and has faith in Santoshi Maa to help and support her through this situation.  


On her role as ‘Santoshi’, Ratan Rajput shares, “It is a homecoming of sorts for me after a two-year gap. I am excited and happy to return to television once again and that too with &TV’s Santoshi Maa SunayeVratKatheyein. On being shown the chavi of his Bhagwan by Lord Shiva (Ram Yashvardhan) as Maruti was writing Ram Naam on the walls of a cave, he begins his journey with Jamvant (Rajesh Singh). On reaching Ayodhya, Guru Vashisha (Nagesh Salwan) welcomes them both, and they together convince Raja Dashrat (Anwar Khan) who was planning to undertake vanprashth in staying in the mahal. Dashrath invites Bal Hanuman to stay in Ayodha, and he witnesses one of the most significant events of his life – the birth of his Bhagwan Ram. 

Talking about the upcoming track, Nagesh Salwan who essays the role of Gargacharya (Rishi Vashisht) shares, “According to the vedas and Puranas, Rishi Vashisht along with Lord Hanuman convinces Raja Dashrath to not head for Vanprashth ashram. They will make him realise his responsibility towards his subjects and the fact that they are awaiting their future king. A mahayagna will be conducted post which Raja Dashrath and Rani Kaushalya (ShafaqNaaz) will be blessed with Ram Janam.” 

Gleaming diyas, decorations and celebrations will be seen in Ayodha as people will welcome the new king – Lord Ram. GMR Infra to seek shareholders’ nod to raise Rs 5,000 cr

GMR Infrastructure will seek its shareholders’ approval to raise up to Rs 5,000 crore through securities, in its annual general meeting on September 21.

In a regulatory filing on Sunday, the company said that it plans to raise the funds in one or more tranches.

“Pursuant to the Regulation 29(1)(d) of SEBI LODR, the approval of the shareholders is being sought for raising of funds up to Rs 5,000 crore in one or more tranche(s), through issue of securities as per the requirements of applicable laws, as an enabling resolution,” it said.

The company had on Thursday announced a composite ‘scheme of arrangement’ involving a vertical split and demerger of the ‘non-airport business’.

The Board of GMR Infrastructure announced the scheme together with other group companies — GMR Power Infra and GMR Power and Urban Infra.

Study provides hope for young women after heart attack

Premenopausal women have good long-term outcomes after a heart-attack">heart attack, according to late-breaking research. The research was presented at ESC Congress 2020.1 "Previous research has shown that women are more likely to die after a heart-attack">heart attack than men," said principal investigator Professor Diego Ardissino of Parma University Hospital, Italy. 

"Our study shows that this does not hold true before the menopause when women are still exposed to oestrogen, a hormone that protects against heart disease," added Ardissino. The Italian Genetic Study on Early-onset Myocardial Infarction compared outcomes of women and men under 45 who had a heart-attack">heart attack. The study included 2,000 patients (1,778 men and 222 women) who presented to the hospital with a heart-attack">heart attack before the age of 45 at 125 Italian coronary care units between 1998 and 2002. The primary endpoint was a composite of recurrent heart-attack">heart attack, stroke, or death from cardiovascular disease.

 During a median follow-up of 20 years, the primary composite endpoint occurred in 25.7 percent of women compared to 37.0 percent of men (hazard ratio [HR] 0.69; 95 percent confidence interval [CI] 0.52-0.91? p=0.01). When the components of the primary endpoint were analysed separately, the researchers found that second heart-attack">heart attacks were less frequent in women compared to men (14.2 percent vs. 25.4 percent? HR 0.53; 95 percent CI 0.37-0.77? p<0.001). 

However, women were more likely to have a stroke compared to men (7.7 percent vs. 3.7 percent? HR: 2.02; 95 percent CI 1.17-3.49? p=0.012). Smoking (46.5 percent vs. 42.8 percent), alcohol consumption (65.3 percent vs. 27.4 percent), high blood lipids (62.3 percent vs. 50.7 percent) and diabetes (7.8 percent vs. 5.4 percent) were more frequent in men compared to women (all p<0.001). Professor Ardissino said the better prognosis in premenopausal women compared to men was likely related to different mechanisms behind the heart-attack">heart attacks.

Women were more than twice as likely to have healthy arteries than men (36.5 percent vs. 15.4 percent; p<0.001), but coronary artery dissection (a tear in a blood vessel supplying the heart) was more frequent in women (5.4 percent vs. 0.7 percent? p<0.01). "In men, coronary events were mostly due to blocked arteries, while in women they had other causes such as coronary dissection which is known to have a more favourable prognosis and a lower risk of recurrence," he said.

At discharge from hospital, men were more likely than women to be prescribed medications to protect against second heart-attack">heart attacks, including beta-blockers, aspirin, and angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors or angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs). The likelihood of statin treatment was similar in men and women.

"The disparity in prescribing may be due to the lower burden of coronary artery disease found in women in the study. It could also relate to the general under-prescribing of medication for women compared to men seen in other studies of acute cardiac events," Professor Ardissino said. "In contrast to the prevailing literature, women experiencing an early-onset heart-attack">heart attack have favourable long-term outcomes compared to men, despite being prescribed fewer preventive medications," he added.

 "I got my cap and was feeling blank," said spinner Kuldeep Yadav while talking about his Test debut for India. Kuldeep had made his Test debut in 2017 against Australia at Dharamsala, and he went on to take four wickets in his first Test.

"It was an honour! I was on the bench for three matches but kept preparing myself with Anil sir (Kumble), our then coach. He backed me a lot. He exactly knew the kind of mindset young spinners have. I remember, a day before the debut, we were having lunch together. 

He told me, you are playing tomorrow and I want 5 wickets from you. I was a little intimidated but I confidently said that I would definitely take," the official website of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) quoted Kuldeep as saying. "I was quite nervous but felt comfortable the moment all team members joined in. I got my cap and was feeling blank. It is a dream for all young cricketers to play Test cricket and my dream was coming true. I was pretty emotional. 

I remember I was fielding at deep square leg, and I was still nervous. But then I decided to just react normally like any other Ranji game," he added. All of Kuldeep's four wickets came in the first innings against Australia. The spinner managed to take the wickets of David Warner, Glenn Maxwell, Peter Handscomb, and Pat Cummins in the first innings of the fourth Test. India managed to win that particular Test, and as a result, the side won the four-match series 2-1. "When I came to bowl, Steve Smith hit a boundary off a googly in my second over and I realised the difference between international and state-level cricket. Following lunch, I just tried to be relaxed and give my best. 

I started strategizing my game and bowled a few slower ones to David Warner and then mixed it up with a flipper, feeling it might clean him up or trap him LBW. He played the cut straight to the slip," Kuldeep said. "That was my first wicket. It was one of the happiest moments of my life and I got really emotional. My confidence rose and I got Handscomb and Maxwell too. 

Once the day got over, I spoke to Sachin sir and he told me a lot of things about how to approach the game. I was flooded with messages and calls. When I was lying on my bed at night and I started reflecting to realise how much I had to struggle to reach that point. I had tears of joy at that moment," he added. Kuldeep has played 6 Tests in his career fo far, managing to take 24 wickets with his best returns being 5/57 against West Indies in 2018.

 The spinner has also played 60 ODIs and 21 T20Is for the Men in Blue. In ODIs, he has scalped 104 wickets while in the shortest format, he has 39 scalps to his credit. The spinner would next be seen in action in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 as he would represent Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The IPL 2020 is slated to be played in the UAE from September 19-November 10 across three venues -- Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah.

With this plot twisting reincarnation, tables have turned and their roles have reversed, Siddharth Nigam, playing the role of Aladdin, will now be seen as a prince, who is spoilt for choices and is a complete brat whereas Yasmine aka Kali Chorni, essayed by Ashi Singh will emerge as a courageous messiah of the poor. The exciting new adventure of Alasmine begins again and the real question remains – How will they find their way towards each other this time? Will they be able to avenge their death? 

Aladdin: Naam Toh Suna Hoga will also be welcoming fresh faces, Harsh Vasishtha as the Sultan-Aladdin’s father, actress Shivani Badoni as Koyal and Amit Raghuvanshi as Sheefan, Prince Aladdin’s competitor, who are all set to join the show in pivotal roles. 

While Aladdin and Yasmine bring forth the exciting turn of events, the viewers will also witness Ammi, played by Smita Bansal in a rather new style. Ammi aka Rukhsaar Begum will be seen as a doting headmistress who runs a special academy for students. How this journey of rebirth, rediscovery and revenge transpires, will be the beginning of an exhilarating adventure. 

Siddharth Nigam, essaying the role of Prince Aladdin said, “After the tragic end of Aladdin and Yasmine, fate has brought the duo back again. Born in a royal household and born a prince, Aladdin is a spoilt brat who does what he wants. He is unaware of his destiny and what the future holds for him. Prince Aladdin likes to live his life king size and this new Aladdin promises to entertain and leave a lingering smile on everyone’s faces. I am really excited about this new adventure in Aladdin: Naam Toh Suna Hoga. The show promises power packed adventure and new faces set to welcome some exciting characters in the show.”

Ashi Singh, essaying the role of Yasmine said, “It has been an adventurous journey so far and I am exciting to present a completely new Yasmine to our viewers. Yasmine aka Kali Chorni is unlike what the viewers have ever witnessed her in the show. Her life is different and she is the guardian of the poor. Yasmine is courageous and believes in fighting for injustice in the society by donning the cape as Kali Chorni. &TV’s Gudiya Humari Sabhi Pe Bhari, a slice of life drama filled with simplicity and warmth of Gudiya played by Sarika Bahroliya recently completed its one-year mark. Spreading joy, laughter, and cheer throughout, the Bedarak Gudiya (Sarika Bahroliya) in a short span of one year has become a household name and carved a special place in the audience’s hearts. Currently, Gudiya and Guddu (Karam Rajpal) call a truce and are beginning to become friends. Amidst the blossoming friendship of Gudiya and Guddu, Putli (Abha Parmar) and Harbheji (Madhuri Sanjeev) are on a lookout for a suitable girl for Gabbar (Aman Gandhi). On the other hand, Sarla’s (Samta Sagar) search for a suitable groom is still on for Gudiya. What will be interesting to see is whether Gabbar and Gudiya finally find suitable partners?


Talking about her journey so far,Sarika (Gudiya) who hails from Gwalior shares, “My one-year journey with Gudiya Humari Sabhi Pe Bhari was not less than a dream. While initially I was scared to face the cameras, I knew I had a bonus point as I was familiar with the language and the dialect of the show. I only had to work upon upping my pace while I talk as Gudiya. But eventually, with time, patience, and dedication, I am confident and have aced my part well so much that I mouth dialogues with much ease and comfort.” On the upcoming track, she added, “Until now, the audience got to witness the bickering between Guddu and Gudiya, but now they will see the blooming friendship that the two have to share. Guddu’s family, who has kept Gabbar away from everyone, is finding a bride for him on the advice of Babaji as told to Harbheji. Watch the drama unfold as Gabbar meets the Bedarak Gudiya.”
